In 2010, Neil Autry looked at the world of retail and saw a sea of beige. Everything was polished, safe, and boring. Western Evil was born out of a desperate need for the exact opposite—a brand rooted in the raw energy of punk rock, the DIY ethics of counter-culture, and the unapologetic spirit of the underground.
Sixteen years later, we’re still here, and we still haven't turned the volume down.
From the Basement to the Brand
We didn't start in a boardroom; we started with a stack of records and a belief that clothing should be a battle cry. To us, "Western" isn't about the prairie—it’s about the frontier of the fringe. It’s for the outsiders, the misfits, and the ones who find more beauty in a scratched vinyl than a shiny storefront.
Neil built this company on the same "Do It Yourself" ethos that fueled the 70s punk scene. We don't answer to shareholders or corporate suits. We answer to the music, the culture, and to you.
A Family-Run Riot
Being family-owned means we don’t have to compromise. For over a decade and a half, Neil Autry and now his family have kept the gears turning with the same grit it takes to finish a cross-country tour in a beat-up van. When you buy from Western Evil, you aren't just a customer—you’re part of the local scene. You’re supporting a legacy of independence in a world that tries to make everyone look the same.
16 Years of Breaking the Mold
Trends come and go like pop songs on the radio, but counter-culture is forever. We’ve spent 16 years perfecting gear that feels as authentic as a power chord and as timeless as a leather jacket. We’re not here to fit in, and we know you aren’t either.
Thanks for keeping it weird with us for the last 16 years. Here’s to many more years of making noise.
